As of noon Wednesday, Ike is a strong category one hurricane with winds of 90mph and strenthening.  We can expect winds to steadily increase over the warm Gulf waters to 125-130 mph.

Ike should hit the TX coast on Saturday morning, then turn northward, spreading wind and rain into North TX by late Saturday afternoon.

Depending on the exact track, we can expect winds from 40-50mph, 2″+ rainfall and even some small, tropical (non-supercell) tornadoes from Saturday evening through Sunday midday.
