The Tragic Loss of a Storm Tracker

August 20, 2008 at 8:59 pm | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a comment

For four years now, NBC5 has teamed with nationally recognized storm chasers to bring our viewers the latest live reports on developing severe weather.  And from the beginning, one of these chasers has been Gary Pogue, of Cedar Hill.  But this past weekend we received devastating news.

Gary died suddenly of a brain aneurism at age 45, leaving his loving wife Monica, and five children.  At the funeral this morning I told Monica how much Gary’s unselfish service to keeping north Texans safe, meant to me and to the community.

Gary, we’ll miss you.
