More March Snow on the way!

March 6, 2008 at 11:42 am | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a comment

Another March snowstorm is aiming for North TX.

Temperatures will stay just above 32 through the day on Thursday, so we don’t expect any major problems, but temperatures will drop below 32 this evening, and travel problems will begin.

We’ll see rain developing by midday Thursday, with temperatures in the upper 30s.  As temperatures slowly fall this afternoon into the mid 30s, we’ll see that rain mix with snow.  Afternoon rush shouldn’t present any icy spot problems, but it will be wet and messy.  By evening, freezing temps will move in, the mix will change over to all snow, and the travel problems will begin.

Snow accumulations will be impressive (any snow accumulation here is impressive!).  Around 1″-3″ possible in the metroplex, 2″-5″ possible North of a Denton to Greenville line.
