A Brush with a winter storm

January 18, 2008 at 10:57 am | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a comment

As we head into the weekend, a strong upper low is moving across Texas.

Normally, we’d be worried about winter precipitation with temperatures in the 20s and 30s, but the main effects of this system will be to the south of the metroplex.

Rain and thunderstorms will mainly affect SE Texas, but on the north edge of the precipitation, we might see some ice pellets or flurries, mainly Waco to Corsicana.

Its a quick hit system though, we’ll see sunshine this afternoon in the metroplex.
