A wet start to the week.

The much awaited arctic air rolled in Saturday in North Texas, and then the rain started.

The arctic air is cold, but the below freezing temperatures have stayed north and northwest of the Metroplex.

A major ice storm has paralyzed OK, MO and parts of southeastern KS, where temperatures have been well below freezing.

For us, the arctic air will continue to slowly erode and warm, in fact, temperatures Tuesday morning may be warmer than our Monday afternoon temps.

Another upper level low is on the way, and that instability will bring another round of rain and possibly thunder to North Texas, but again, our temps will thankfully stay above freezing. We will have some patchy fog and drizzle through midday Tuesday, then rain and thunder chances increase Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday. Parts of North Texas may see up to an inch of additional rain!

This midweek rain will clear out by Thurday midday, and we’ll finish the week with temperatures in the 50s.
