Summer Returns

October 2, 2005 at 1:30 am | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a comment

September ended with a welcome taste of autumn, but just as quickly, the first of October marks the return of the summer heat and humidity.

Earlier this week, the heat broke records and brought us the hottest day of 2005 on Wednesday with a high of 104. But a cold front ushered in beautiful weather (after some nasty storms Wednesday) beginning Thursday morning. Lows made it into the mid 50s in our coolest suburbs and highs on Thursday didn’t get out of the mid 70s; the coolest weather since last May.

Friday was a normal late September day, but the heat is back and it sticks around until the middle of next week. No triple digit heat or records are in the forecast, but 90s and uncomfortable humidity can be expected.

Wednesday brings our next cold front; our next chance of rain and cooler temps return with the front.
